Extinction can be a natural thing. Sometimes species die out and are replaced by others. Recently people have been causing extinction by hunting and destroying habitats.
This is a mountain gorilla. There are only 650 left in the world.

This is a humpback whale.
This kind of whale makes fantastic, lovely, harmonic sounds to attract mates. Whalers have almost hunted this beautiful animal to extinction.
